It couldn’t have happened at a worse time. Thousands of Treasure Coast residents were left holding unfulfilled generator orders and maintenance contracts when the company Energized Electric shuttered its doors. We can’t speak to why those residents weren’t given their original generators and maintenance as formerly promised, but we can talk about our decision to help those customers in need as hurricane season approached.

You may have seen the coverage on WPTV that we acquired Energized Electric’s business outright to help their customers who were left with no recourse. We agreed it was a way to save those customers from being out thousands of dollars and fix the problem they were facing. The Rack Electric team got to work and spent 7-days a week installing all of their generators and working on outstanding service contracts. On paper, it wasn’t the best business decision to acquire the company, but we care more about doing what’s right and getting our neighbors up and running.

The Rack Electric team stepped up because we are those customers’ neighbors. We work in the area, have spent decades building a reputation for customer care and quality service, and couldn’t just turn our back on fellow residents in need. Of course we would love to earn those people’s long-term business, but we did it in good faith to serve the community and get everyone up and running.
